Minor marks can be spot cleaned with water and a mild soap on a damp cloth.

For a deeper clean, Habitat Mats are 100% machine washable. Use an everyday cold wash cycle with a mild detergent. Line dry outdoors.

Our mats are designed to last many years. Kids outgrown their mat but it's still in good condition? Our take-back initiative, to be established in 2025, saves pre-loved mats from landfill and gives them to children and early learning centres in need.

What are Habitat Mats made from?
Habitat Mats are made from neoprene with a textured rubber backing. All materials are non-toxic and safe for children. For those with latex allergies - Habitat Mats are safe for you too; no latex products are used in our mats. Neoprene is a wonder material when it comes to play mats! It is durable, machine-washable, rolls out completely flat and is comfortable to play on!

What ages are Habitat Mats for?
Habitat Mats are safe from infancy, however our designs encourage imaginative play which developmentally begins at around 18 months of age and continues throughout childhood. As a general guide, we recommend Habitat Mats for ages 2-8.

How do I store my Habitat Mat?
Habitat Mats are shipped to you in a custom cardboard tube which should be retained for storage. No matter how long they are rolled inside their tube, Habitat Mats roll out completely flat.

Can I send a Habitat Mat as a gift?
Yes! Simply put the gift recipient's details in the delivery details fields and your own details in the billing details fields at checkout. We can also write a note card to the recipient on your behalf - please email us with your desired wording alongside your order number!
