For those with latex allergies - Habitat Mats are safe for you too; no latex products are used in our mats. Neoprene is a wonder material when it comes to play mats! It is durable, machine-washable, rolls out completely flat and is comfortable to play on!
The beauty of Habitat Mats is that they're completely machine washable! A cold cycle with a mild detergent is optimal. Line dry; do not tumble dry. Full care instructions are listed on our product pages as well as the label sewn to the underside of your mat.
Habitat Mats are safe from infancy, however our designs encourage imaginative play which developmentally begins at around 18 months of age and continues throughout childhood. As a general guide, we recommend Habitat Mats for ages 2-8.

Habitat Mats come in two sizes. Our Explorer Mat is 1.8 x 1.4m and our Farmer Mat is 1.5 x 0.9m. Upcoming mat designs will also fall into these two sizes.
Habitat Mats are shipped to you in a custom cardboard tube which should be retained for storage. No matter how long they are rolled inside their tube, Habitat Mats roll out completely flat.
The development of each Habitat Mat is truly a global process! Each design evolves in Melbourne, Australia and is then illustrated in France by the incredible Tatsiana Burgaud. Finally, our mats are printed in China.
